13-vuotias kroatialainen tyttö oli joutunut koomaan 24 tunniksi. Herätessään hän alkoi puhumaan saksaa.

Tyttö oli aloittanut opiskelemaan saksaa ja lukenut sitä varten mm. saksankielisiä kirjoja, sekä katsonut televisiota. Vanhemmat kertovat, että hänen saksansa ei kuitenkaan ollut vielä sujuvaa. Nyt koomasta toipuneelta tytöltä kuitenkin sujuu saksa sujuvasti, mutta hän ei enää osaa ollenkaan kroatiaa.

Lääkärit ovatkin pyytäneet asiantuntijoita selvittämään, mistä oikein on kyse.

- Koskaan ei voi tietää kuinka aivot reagoivat toipuessaan traumasta. Luonnollisesti meillä on joitakin teorioita, mutta potilaan yksityisyyden kunnioittamiseksi voimme tällä hetkellä kertoa niistä rajallisesti, sairaalan johtaja Dujomir Marasovic kertoi The Telegraph -lehdelle.
