R.I.P Heath Ledger

"Näyttelijä Heath Ledger on löytynyt kuolleena asunnostaan eilen Manhattanilla. New Yorkin poliisin mukaan kuolinsyy on todennäköisesti huumeiden yliannostus.

- Sängyn läheisyydessä oli pillereitä, kertoi poliisin edustaja Paul Browne .

28-vuotiaan australialaisnäyttelijän ruumiin löysi asuntoon tullut taloudenhoitaja.

Ledgerin tunnetuin rooli on muutaman vuoden takaisessa elokuvassa Brokeback Mountain. Hän sai suorituksestaan muun muassa Oscar- ja Golden Globe -ehdokkuuden parhaasta miespääosasta.

Ledger erosi viime vuonna pitkäaikaisesta tyttöystävästään, näyttelijä Michelle Williamsista , joka esitti Ledgerin vaimoa myös Brokeback Mountain -elokuvassa. Pariskunnalla on pieni tytär.

Rooleilleen täysillä antautuva Heath Ledger kärsi unettomuudesta. Näyttelijä sairasti kuolemansa aikaan keuhkokuumetta.

Tiistaina kuolleena löydetylle näyttelijä Heath Ledgerille tehdään ruumiinavaus tänään, mutta tarkka kuolinsyy voi selvitä vasta viikkojen kuluttua.

TMZ.comin mukaan sängyssä, josta Ledger löytyi kuolleena, oli ripoteltuna unilääkkeitä. Toinen huoneesta löydetyistä lääkepurkeista oli reseptilääke, toinen ilman reseptiä saatava. Lisäksi Ledger sairasti keuhkokuumetta.

Ledgerin perhe on vakaasti sitä mieltä, että kuolema oli onnettomuus, ei itsemurha.

Jonkinlaista lisävalaistusta näyttelijän tilanteeseen antaa kaksi kuukautta sitten julkaistu New York Timesin haastattelu.

Haastattelussa Ledger kertoo, että stressasi liikaakin roolistaan Bob Dylanina elokuvassa I'm Not There. Samoin kävi syksyllä Lontoossa kuvatun Batman-elokuvan kanssa. Ledger näyttelee The Dark Knight -elokuvassa Jokeria.

Rooli psykopaattisena ja skitsofreenisena klovnina oli fyysisesti ja henkisesti uuvuttava.

- Viime viikolla nukuin keskimäärin kaksi tuntia yössä. Kehoni oli täysin uuvuksissa ja ajatukset vain pyörivät päässä, Ledger kuvaa.

Yksi unilääke ei tilanteeseen auttanut. Toisesta hän vaipui horrokseen herätäkseen tuntia myöhemmin.

New York Timesin toimittaja kuvaa haastattelussa, kuinka Ledgerin on vaikea pysyä paikoillaan. Levottomasti liikehtivä näyttelijä hakee välillä kahvia, käy polttamassa savukkeen, sitoo hiuksensa kuminauhan alle, ottaa nauhan pois, laittaa hatun päähänsä ja ottaa hatun hetken päästä pois. Kohteliaasti käyttäytyvä Ledger ei mielellään halunnut paljastaa itsestään liikoja
