My trip to America.

Hello. I am a very big negro called Mutumbu. I used to live in a small village called… well a village anyway. One fine day I was answering to the nature’s call. Suddenly, I was surrendered by white men. They told me to put my hands behind my neck. It was quite embarrasing you know, standing in front of twenty American soldiers without pants. They took me to a big ship called “The negro ship”. I wonder what that means. We sailed and sailed and sailed. It was kind of one sided. We ate, went to bed, ate, went to bed, ate and so on. We sailed about twenty years (yea, right). When we finally reached America, about hundred and twenty of us had died. Then they took us to a big platform. Somebody bought me or something, and now I work in cottonfields.

with love – Mutumbu
