Kaksi toisistaan pitävää, päihtynyttä miestä hyppäsi tiistai-iltana Suomenlinnan lautalta mereen Helsingissä kauppatorin edustalla.

Varttia vaille kahdeksan tapahtunut tuplamolskahdus aiheutti mittavan viranomaisoperaation. Miehiä pelastamaan säntäsi yksikköjä poliisista, pelastuslaitoksesta ja rajavartiolaitoksesta.

Rajavartiolaitoksen vene nosti humalikot merestä ja toi rantaan.

- Toinen kävi puhaltamassa poliisin alkometriin ja toinen lepäili Kauppatorilla selällään, kertoo silminnäkijä.

Hänen mukaansa miesten päihtymyksen havaitsemiseen ei olisi tarvittu teknisiä välineitä.
