Origins:
Sweden. A very primitive ancient Spitz breed from the Vastergotland plains of Sweden, known for its cattle herds, the Vallhund's similarity to the Welsh Corgis (especially the pembroke) is obcious. Used on farms for cattle droving, vermin catcher, watchdog and overall farm dog. Thought to be a possible precursor to the Pembroke Wels Corgi.
Personality:
Excellent family dog, particularly with a family and children. Very energetic, lots of vitality and generally friendly towards strangers. An indipendent thinker that gets bored easily.
