I have 4,052 more words to write for my assignments. Yes!
I almost had a heart attack earlier this evening. I managed to write up to 1000 words of my Sociolinguistics assignment, and then I went out with my parents and brother to the supermarket. When I returned home, the file I was working on had renamed itself, and changed its extension. I couldn't save it, and so I thought that I was back to square one- I'd worked really hard to catch up with this, because, although I really enjoy Sociolinguistics, I don't really understand it very well, which has led to problems when doing assigmnments- I mean, how can you write 3,000 words about something you don't get?! Heh.

Anyway, after much panicking, I resigned myself to having to start the essay again :-/ Then, my parents persuaded me to check on the main computer, using my memory stick, and surprise!!!!! The file was saved to that... visible on the main computer, but invisible to me. I was quite angry by this point, as I'd wasted time worrying over nothing.

Meh.

So now, I'm sitting up at 0120, dosed up on ProPlus, a caffeine pill which fights tiredness. I'm starting now to tire, but I have to keep going. I have 1,052 more words to write on this essay, and then I can relax, and make a start on TEFL (which I intend to write all day Saturday, and all night, thru to Sunday morning).

The essays are due in at 4pm on Monday, which means I'm in a race against the clock to get things done.

And then, once they're all signed in and finished, I have to make a start on a 10 minute presentation about German rock music.... jippiiiiiiiiiiii -_-

is an amazing film! I'm told, that it deviates from the original storyline, but that aside, it's a fantastic little ditty! I'm most definitely a fan :-D Snow, aurora borealis, Trømsø, Oxford's dreamy spires.... wow <3

I came home, and then had a heart attack 'cause I was laughing so hard. A few funny survey-bulletins, and few jokes, and a pile of complete crap XD
It's liberating in a way.

I thought I'd clear a couple of things up:
I have no respect for people who take drugs.
I have a problem with people who use too much alcohol.
I'm a miserable person, 'cause I don't find some complete tosser sending me emails i find offensive "funny".
I don't HAVE to accept certain things.
I'm not here to be messed around by people around me.
I don't like being fed bullshit, and generally messed around.

Perhaps I am too serious.
But, you know what? People who have such a negative opinion of me can fuck right off :) In the last year or so, alot of things have happened, which in one way or another, have pushed me in a new, better direction. Although alot of the time I moan about how crap life is, I am actually very grateful- I have a loving family, some fantastic friends, and I'm working to better myself, and fulfil whatever potential I may have lurking inside me :-D Fluency in 4 languages is something I'm extremely proud of, btw.

I don't trust people easily, but those who I do trust are SO worth it. Even when I don't see these people for some time, we stay in contact, and when we do get together, it's good times all round! Living away from home did put a strain on certain relationships, but the fact that they withstood the time and distance is a sign that things aren't ready to give up yet :D

So a MASSIVE 'kiitos' 'danke' and 'tänks' to: Lazu, Leggi, Lisa, Asmaa, Janni, Michi, PoppyJude, Pavvy-wavvy, Mike, Markku, Carrie, Carina, Jen, Bryan, and everyone else who I've not mentioned (you sure know who you are <3)

So.... I slept til 1pm today :D Bad times.
However, I got my biggest laugh when I read the newspaper:

The met office (weather guys), predict grand chaos on our streets.
A cold from from Siberia is heading our way.
Bringing with it, temperatures of -17, and snowfall.
I doubt it very very much, somehow.
Better still, the snow. It's predicted to cause havoc. Unlike the freezing-ness, that is possible. Last year, whilst I was in Finland, I was keeping tuned to the news, where, last January, I was amused to no end, when I saw that all the aiports were closed because, wait for it, 3CM of snow fell overnight. Bloody idiots X)

I'm waiting REAL winter conditions :D

2007 started with laughter, and ended in tears.

Let's see how 2008 ends.
