"but why would you name all those other countries.Like the Spanish ones would be considered South America,Canada is its own country and is not an American and Mexico is its own country too.America(U.S.A) is the 50 states.I think you got a little confused."

"I don't know why all US peeps seem to think that America = United states (no offence but what are ya'll being taught at school?!), 'cause that's not definitely the case. US is just a part of North America, and when you say America it doesn't always mean the US, but both North AND South America, which includes all those countries"

"My bad,but when i think of America i definatly only think of the 50 states.I dont really see Mexico or Canada as being part on North America.I guess its a arrogance that the U.S has cause i know alot of people in general do think of Canada and Mexico as just two seperate countries and not part of North America.And as for what we get taught here in the U.S well this would be considered basic geography and you usually get taught this in the 5th grade so exscuse me,but i've been out of school for along time."
