The trend has been constant: The more people have had to sacrifice, the more downtrodden they have been, the truer and more sincere they've become — those fortunate among them that haven't lost their light altogether amidst our darkening world. Again, the more people have acquired skills, assets or charms of trivial worth, the more blind they tend to become to the needs of the surrounding world in a pursuit to re-enforce their vain center of selfish cravings.
