Annihilator is considered by many to be the perfect example of an intelligent, sweaty, ever surprising metal act, having released a number of classics a la Alice In Hell, Never, Neverland, King Of The Kill, Carnival Diablos, Schizo Deluxe and others over the years. In April 2007, after a full year of writing and production, Annihilator will release Metal.
Metals ten new tracks were recorded by Jeff Waters (guitar, bass and lead vocals on one song), drum legend Mike Mangini and Dave Padden (long-time vocalist and touring guitarist/vocalist). Metal also features sensational performances by some of metals finest players and Annihilators good friends.


Jeff Waters on the straightforward and unambiguous album title, Metal: The new album reminds me of the first four Annihilator records. Its then tempting to think that Im looking back artistically, when the opposite happens to be the case. But its a fact that I composed the new material the same way I went about the early Annihilator tracks. This record combines many of the diverse styles you will find in metal music done our way. Annihilator Metal.



Metal will be released April 13 (SPV/Steamhammer Records).

German mineralogist, Frederick Moh (1773-1839), established a system for determining the hardness of an unknown rock or mineral, which is useful in the ultimate identification process. Hardness is a measure of resistance to abrasion. The system consists of ten fairly common minerals (except for the diamond), which have a known hardness. We are happy to announce that psychobilly trio Sandorff-Valkonen-Sandorf will tour Finland in February 2006. The Sandorff brothers, Peter and Kristian, are better known for their work in the Nekromantix appearing on some of the hottest psychobilly albums ever made. The "middle man" of the group, Lape Valkonen, has slapped the bass for such bands as the Quakes, Nine Lives and Steve Hooker Rumble.
