Legendaarisen rockyhtyeen Pink Floydin kosketinsoittaja Richard Wright on kuollut 65 vuoden iässä. Wright kuoli maanantaina 15.9.2008 taisteltuaan pitkään syöpää vastaan, kertoi muusikon edustaja.

Wright oli yhtyeen perustajajäseniä ja hän kirjoitti useita yhtyeen kappaleista. Lontoossa syntynyt Wright jätti Pink Floydin vuonna 1981, mutta palasi myöhemmin takaisin.

Wrightin aikana yhtye julkaisi muun muassa albumit Dark Side of the Moon ja Wish You Were Here.
