Oasis have officially split up- after Noel quit the band because he can no longer work with his brother Liam.

The brothers have had a strained relationship for years but now it seems the group are finally over.

A statement from Noel on the Oasis website said:
"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.
"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."
"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

The group were due to play European festivals to end their tour but have now pulled those dates. Oasis pulled out of the Chelmsford leg of V Festival last weekend after Liam claimed he was ill.
Although it is only Noel who has quit the band it is unlikely they will continue without the main songwriter and guitarist.
