When all I think about, is death
I find myself under a shower
Wishing it was boiling hot
Wishing it was lava
Wishing it was acid
The burning feeling that kept me alive and going
For so long, up to this day
Trying to reignite it
But it seems the coal is almost burnt out
Small bursts of blue flame left
Maybe it is an instinctual reminder
Of the very first breath taken
Maybe I protect myself with it
Reminding myself of the exhaustion of being born
Even if brain doesn't have the memory
Every piece of your body, will remember it
Hard reset, to every morning
So I lay down again, under the burning shower
Against all of my will
I'm still alive
