Pyöräytin pannulla oliiviöljyssä valkosipulia sekä sipulia. Lisäsin purkillisen paseerattua tomaattia ja tomaattipyrettä (huom. luomua), raastettua porkkanaa sekä runsaasti mausteita, mukaan lukien ropsautuksen sokeria. Ja sitten se sai muhia.

Nyt kotona tuoksuu mausteinen kastike, uunissa on lihapullia ja kissat nukkuvat viimoisissa ilta-auringon rippeissä. Kuka missäkin. Joskus pienet asiat on niitä parhaita.

Eilen tuli juteltua ystävän kanssa puhelimessa, ja jäin miettimään sitä, kuinka nopeasti asiat muuttuvat. Ja kuinka oudosti elämät kietoutuvat toisiinsa. Millon toisesta tulee tärkeä? Ja milloin yhdentekevä?

En minä tiedä. Eikä minulla ole kaikkeen vastausta. Ei edes tarvitse olla. Riittää, että selviää tämän päivän, ja huomisen. Ja että osaa nauttia pienistä hetkistä, ystävistä siellä jossain, kahvin tuoksusta ja iltalenkistä siskon kanssa. Juuri värjätyistä hiuksista, joista tuli ihan liian tummat (mutta kyllähän ne siitä vaalenevat) ja kissojen tuhinasta.

Ei minun elämästäni kenties elokuvaa koskaan tehdä. Ei niistä kerroista, jolloin jäin suremaan sydänsuruja, ei itkuisista öistä, ei niistä sydämistä, joita matkan varrella tuli rikottua, ei iloista eikä suruista, mutta kenties.. aivan vain kenties.. tämän punahilkan elämä jää jonkun muistoihin. Kaikkine kissoineen ja tupakantuoksuisine sormineen. Ja joku jossain pysähtyy hymyillen muistelemaan sitä, että kosketin hänenkin elämää. Edes pienellä tavalla. Silloin tietäisi, että tämä kaikki kannatti.
